"Z-health can be used for similar purposes, but is different in that it is more of a clinical approach. There is a greater focus on opening specific joints and looking at movement to identify the appropriate drills. It has been a tremendous help with my clients that have been experiencing pain or athletes that were looking to find an instant improvement in strength or speed development. Just this weekend I was in Chicago working with a powerlifter who had three surgeries in his right shoulder. After assessing his movement through Dr. Cobb's techniques I increased his ROM in the right shoulder beyond that of the left. Remember this was the surgically repaired shoulder. What did I do? I worked on mobilization for his left foot, never touched his shoulder. This improvement wasn't temporary either as I received an email that three days later it was still better.
Dr. Cobb improved my barbell snatches by twenty pounds in ten minutes of working on my wrists! Something that I don't think many people would have looked at from a performance perspective.
I also had an athlete that improved his vertical three inches after performing three specific drills. I could go on, but that is what sold me on the system. There is also performance aspect that is just amazing from plyometrics to breathing. I don't receive any money if anyone goes, but it has been a "secret weapon" for me.
A last positive example from the recent RKC I attended in June. One of the students had suffered some severe discomfort in the forearm from performing snatches poorly on his own. After working through some wrist and finger mobility work he had greatly reduced pain.
Many of the drills from the outside may appear similar to many joint mobility programs. However, as with many forms of strength training it is the goal, intention, and manner in which the drills are performed that make them significantly different.

"The Z-Health seminar was amazing. Being a little skeptical, and not knowing what was going to happen, it turned out to be very educational and is now a critical part of our sports performance programs. The results are immediate, as we saw ourselves during the seminar. We are seeing the same immediate results in our athletes. As Dr. Eric said in the seminar, ‘the joint mobility makes the body more efficient in its actions and reactions’, and how true it is. "My name is Ricky Johnston. I am a massage therapist and martial arts instructor. I have been doing martial arts for over 16 years and have received numerous benefits from doing so. The only down side to my training has been many small and 2 severe injuries over this time. The first of the severe ones was a dislocation of my left humerus in December of 1999. The other was the tendon of my right hamstring (semimembranosus) coming partially off of the bone (ischium) in March 2002. Both injuries “healed” but hardly to my satisfaction. I had greatly diminished flexibility in both joints and pain in certain ranges of motion. I had written it off as part of living an athletic lifestyle and just worked around it as an inconvenience.
After attending a Z-Health seminar taught by Dr. Eric Cobb, everything started to change. Somewhere during the first class the pain left my hamstring and the flexibility returned. In fact, not only had it returned within that 3-hour period but also over the next 2 weeks of doing Z-Health it also increased! My shoulder’s flexibility returned also and within a couple of days the pain that I experienced in specific ranges of motion disappeared.
I have been doing the Z-Health exercises everyday for 10 minutes to an hour and a half, whatever I have time for. They are fun and addictive because I feel so good during and after. My overall flexibility and agility has improved enormously. My posture and even the way that I walk have changed. "About two months ago I attended the Z-Health workshop here in Austin, TX. I had an arm injury to my left forearm for about five years. As a left-handed Tennis Professional this made work very difficult and my only option was to teach and play right-handed, and do most things with my opposite hand because this injury at times was very painful and persistent. After many rounds of physical therapy, opinions of 5 orthopedic surgeons, and every alternative medicine around, I found something that gave me quick results. "I have been doing the Z-Health exercises that you taught me last week, not all of them, but about 90% of them, especially focused on the neck, upper and lower back, hands, and wrists. I have been doing the neck, back, hand and wrist exercises throughout the day and then I take 5 minutes or so before I go to bed to run through the other exercises. I have noticed 2 significant changes: 1) I have been having trouble with Carpal Tunnel/Tendon issues in my right forearm, to the point that my arm would go numb at night. It is gone, as of this email I have not had pain or numbness in my forearm or wrist area. 2) My lower back, lumbar area, has been a problem area for me, especially after playing basketball (which I do 2 or 3 times a week). I thought that part of the problem my bed mattress. Ever since learning to do the lower lumbar Z-Health exercises, I have no pain in my lower back when I get up in the morning. Z-Health works this quickly? I am not skeptical, I am more amazed in a sort of "Too good to be true" perspective."

"Being diagnosed with scoliosis as a very small child, I was fortunate to have parents who felt increased physical activity including swimming and dance would be beneficial. As years went by however, especially when in the last six years I no longer had access to a swimming pool, the pain I was experiencing increased despite a regimen of long walks.
When I had my annual physical exam by my MD a year ago I complained of intense pain in my hips which, without any exam or testing he said was “bursitis”, I was getting concerned and discouraged. A bone density test revealed little problem with my bones, so I went for treatment to Dr. Teagle. When I asked if he felt it would be beneficial to see a specialist for a cortisone injection in my back and/or hips, he suggested I try attending the classes he conducted weekly involving “z-therapy”. A simple stretch exercise he suggested totally diminished the pain I’d been experiencing in my hips and each week I have shared in exercising in the “z-therapy” has brought noticeable improvement. My flexibility and balance has improved so much but an aspect of the class I find extremely helpful is reminding my mind that I can send positive, remedial messages to my body.
While visiting friends a few months ago I was thrown back onto a concrete patio by their very large dog falling hard onto my tailbone and striking my head. After returning home I made a visit to Dr. Teagle and we were both so pleased to find I had no residual damage from such an unexpected trauma; and I’ve continued without let-up, these terrific “z-therapy” sessions and so appreciate how much they’ve helped me to continue an active daily life.
Though recent lab work revealed I have an “inflammatory process” going on, I have simply continued with no anti-inflammatory prescription (MD had suggested prednisone) but plenty of positive thinking and exercise."

"I just finished my Level 1 Certification and let me tell you that it was an awesome 5-day learning experience. No, scratch that, a 2 month learning experience. You see, the certification is split into two sections spaced out over a couple of months.
After that first weekend I was blown away by the power of the information I walked away with and I put it to immediate use.
The day after the first weekend I helped one of my 6’6” basketball players who was suffering from some pretty intense pain from a stress fracture in his right shin drop his pain from a 9 out of 10 to a 1 out of 10! He is now feeling better than ever and back to playing collegiate basketball.
Later that same day I also helped a client who I had been working with who was diagnosed with brain cancer steady his normally-shaky right hand so that he could write a letter again and also helped him to steady himself so that he could walk around on his own accord.
I can’t explain how good it felt to help this man get back to doing some of the daily activities that he had not been able to do for months!
Now, those results were achieved with the knowledge of the R-Phase exercises and theory that I gained from the first weekend alone. After finishing the second weekend a couple of months later I know that my capability to help my clients improve posture, increase strength, and get rid of pain is greatly improved.
Due to the unique nature of this certification, I have had the opportunity to become proficient at performing the exercises correctly and to practice assessing my own clients along the way. I now know the material a thousand times better than I would have if the certification was like most others and was done all in one day or in a single weekend.
I am certified in many different areas by a variety of reputable certification agencies but I believe the information that Dr. Cobb reveals in his R-Phase Certification is so powerful and so far ahead of anything else that is out there.
I think Dr. Cobb has provided me with what I was looking for in all of the other certification programs that I have enrolled in the past; the answers I was looking for. I always felt a little at a loss after finishing other certification programs.
I felt that I gained some great “tools” and some powerful methods but I never found the answers that I was looking for.
I now know what tools are right for the job and which ones I can remove from my toolbox of training and rehabilitation methods. After finishing this weekend I am now confident that I can help my clients get far better results today! It is reassuring to know that what I am giving my clients will help them immediately instead of guessing and hoping that the exercises that I prescribed to them are what they needed in order to achieve results.
Let me warn you. If you have been worshipping the “Gurus” that are so prevalent in this industry then studying under Dr. Cobb may not be what you are looking for. He will not initiate you into his cult by having you performing silly training rituals, he will not make you buy into his wacky training ideas just because he does them, he will not make you perform a leap of faith into the abyss just because he says so.
He will show you irrefutable evidence that his system delivers what every other system out there does not; instant results. I know it sounds far-fetched and I felt the same way when I signed up for the certification but I can honestly tell you that it is true. Don’t take my word for it though, let me give you an example instead.
The first weekend of the certification I asked Dr. Cobb if he would work with my girlfriend to help her with some terrible back pain that she could not recover from (ruptured disc in low back that she had seen multiple Orthopedists, Back Specialists, Physical Therapists, Chiropractors, and Massage Therapists for and none of these ‘specialists’ could offer her any long-term relief from the constant back pain and dysfunction that she was suffering from).
Dr. Cobb worked with my girlfriend for 30 minutes (compare that to the hours and hours of time she spent with the afore-mentioned ‘specialists’ and the years of pain she has suffered through) and after that short span of time she has not felt any pain from her back since that day!
She just went skiing for the first time in years yesterday and is now back to living a full and active lifestyle.
If you have been looking for answers, for a system that actually over-delivers what it promises, and that will help you become a better professional then Z-Health is what you have been looking for.
